El Espejo Beach is one of the most representative and traditional spots in Los Alcázares. It is home to the emblematic Plaza del Espejo, located in the heart of the town’s tourist area. The beach is also home to two of the municipality’s most symbolic monuments: the Fisherman’s Monument, dedicated to the people of the sea and the fishing tradition that formed part of everyday life on the Mar Menor for generations, and the Huertano Monument, a tribute to the agricultural roots and popular culture of the Region of Murcia. Both sculptures reflect the close connection between the sea and the huerta, two essential elements in the identity and history of Los Alcázares.
