Bahía de Poniente (inicio junto a la falda del castillo) • 30880 ÁGUILAS
A picturesque place. It is an impressive mass of stone, , half sunk into the sea. This stone was detached from the castle hill as a result of an explosion aimed at extracting stone for the construction of the port of Águilas.
Its name alludes to the sounds produced by the sea as it penetrates the hollows under the rock, which resemble ‘snoring’ sounds.
