The first hotel establishment on the Mar Menor and possibly the oldest hotel still in operation in the Region of Murcia. Since the early 20th century, it has been a true landmark of therapeutic tourism, offering the healing properties and benefits of the Mar Menor’s waters in its thermal facilities. Particularly renowned were its famous “novenarios”: a cycle of nine baths using seawater drawn directly from the Mar Menor, heated to the desired temperature for each guest and prepared in elegant marble bathtubs. The building faithfully preserves its original appearance, with a ground floor and an upper level featuring a continuous balcony that surrounds the entire structure and serves the guest rooms. A staircase leading to the upper floor completes the ensemble. Its spectacular inner courtyard, with Andalusian influences, is especially noteworthy, as well as the thermal bathing area, with its single-piece marble tubs and original fittings.
